Standing Overhead Press

The overhead press can be done with either dumbbells or barbells, but we used barbells. To start, stand in good posture with feet hip width apart and a slightly heavy dumbbell in each hand, with hands by the shoulders. Lift the dumbbells up over the head until the arms are fully extended. Bring the arms back down to the starting position. Repeat for about a minute. This exercise is good because it strengthens the muscles around the shoulders, decreasing the risks of back, neck, and shoulder injuries.
