Spring Cleaning Activities That Provide an Unexpected Workout

Cleaning the Showers, Walls, and Ceilings

Cleaning the shower should definitely be done more often than a few times per year, but this may be a good time to really get down and dirty. As with the other tasks, opt for squats instead of bends when applicable. Instead of scrubbing straight on, try a turning motion to clean the sides of the shower and any walls that need a good scrub so that you hit your obliques. Reaching up to hit the ceilings can give you a natural stretch, and can also help you hit hard-to-reach areas like your triceps.
